About SpeedLab

SpeedLab is a set of short, sharp browser tests for click speed, reaction time, memory, and typing โ€” the kind of thing you open to settle an argument and close ten minutes later, one more try in.

What it is

Every test does one thing and does it fast. You land on a page, the test is right there, and you start playing without a splash screen or a sign-up wall. Each result maps to a rank and tells you how you compare to typical scores, and your personal bests are always in view so there's something to beat.

How it's built

The whole site is plain HTML, CSS, and JavaScript โ€” no frameworks, no build step, no external services. Fonts are hosted here, so nothing loads from anywhere else. Once a page has loaded once, it works offline. Your scores and settings live in your browser and go no further; there are no accounts, no tracking, and no cookies.

Sound is off by default

A lot of people play these on shared or school computers. Sound stays off until you turn it on, and the toggle is right in the header.

Not affiliated with anyone

SpeedLab is an independent site. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Mojang, Microsoft, or any game publisher. Where a test uses a term that players commonly search for, it is only to describe what the test measures. No game logos, fonts, or trademarked artwork are used anywhere on this site, and no endorsement by any company is implied.
